Foreign film fans! I bring you wonderful news!
The My Sassy Girl remake will be a direct-to-DVD release, thus saving us (and the original film) the agony and humiliation. I just hope this ends up into obscurity and no one will ever know that it ever existed.
I suppose whoever the powers that be in the studio finally saw the actual film (the trailer is enough, let alone the entire thing) and decided to save face from releasing it to theatres. Thank God. I suppose the studios wizened up and chose to save money from marketing and cut the profits from DVD sales (if anyone is insane enough to buy it).
For those of you that are interested, the DVD will be released on August 26th, 2008. I might just rent it to see how badly they destroyed it.
Now to make this news better is if time travel was possible. Then this remake would have never been ever filmed or thought of, and instead a repackaging of the original My Sassy Girl with English subtitles would be released in the US to be sold in stores. Either region 1 or region free DVD release in the foreign film section. Yeah, that would make this perfect.

I loved that movie! It was so cute! I almost forgot how much I liked it
I love that movie too. It’s just so quirky and insane that you can’t help but love it.
Maybe this will mean that the original movie can be in a DVD region that can be played on US/Canada DVD players without resorting to buying a region free DVD player.
are you kiding me? you didn`t even bother to see the movie and you make fun of it …what ?you never heard of good remakes? i cand name you a few…just watch it and tell me afterwards..
