I’m pretty sure everyone that hasn’t lived under a rock knows that Michael Jackson died from cardiac arrest.
It is indeed a sad day with Farrah Fawcett dead too. I find it a little sad that her death was upstaged in a way by Jackson’s. She was a pop culture icon too, but I guess people would relate more easily with music than they would with Charlie’s Angels. And since she did die of cancer, the public had some time to condition and prepare themselves. While, in the case for Jackson, it was more sudden since obviously you can’t predict things like cardiac arrest — let alone be prepared for them.
Granted, Jackson did not have the best of luck or history with the media. I do not agree with his behavior in settling the child molestation charges out of court, so we would never know the truth or not. Nor do I really blame him for becoming the recluse he was after the media abuse from that. Given the fact that he traded his childhood to fame and fortune (it didn’t help that he had stage parents too) and suffered child abuse from his father. It’s no wonder he had so many problems or any sort of abnormal thinking.
However, there is no denying that he was a great entertainer. He made great music. C’mon, he made “Thriller.” It’s just tragic that it unraveled long before the child molestation allegations and whatnot. He didn’t even have a chance to redeem himself with a comeback into the music industry.
Take a bow, MJ. The world was not meant for one as great as you, we just realized this when it was too late. You’ll be missed.

Ahh I’ve been waiting for an update to this. But yeah, what I think was sad is how after his death people tried to cash in on his name, and his OWN FATHER still tried to milk more money out of him.
i agree with every word you said about Farrah Fawcett’s death being upstaged. a thai news reporter even claimed that on the day of her funeral, her house was surrounded by fans of her movies AND music.. music?
